Srimani_2_opt.jpg - Srimani...my Lanka Srimani. Although this was not my first command, this was my first command in CSC, where I started out as a Cadet some 12 years earlier. It was the happiest and the busiest ship I worked on. We were doing a liner run to the far-east doing 9 ports in 28 days; Sinagapore, Kobe, Yokohama, Nagoya, Busan, Keelung, Hong Kong, Singapore & Colombo. Yet we found time for some of the greatest parties at sea. I had a great bunch of Officers and Crew on the dear old Srimani. This photograph was taken in Colombo on the morning of her first departure under my command in1989.
